ABOUT

Born in Sicily. In 2006 I graduated in Communication Sciences at the University of Bologna, where I worked as a radio journalist for 2 years. After graduating I took a workshop with Magnum photographer David Alan Harvey.

Moved to Milan, I attended the Master in Photojournalism at the Kaverdash Academy, and started to work as an assistant. At the same time, I started working as a freelance, publishing on The Globe and Mail, The National Post, the South China Morning Post, Espresso, Sportweek, Manifesto, and various others publications. Since March 2010 I’m represented by OTNPhotos agency.

My interests focuses on sciences, environmental and cultural issues.  My goal is to connect the world of scientific research with the large public. I like exploring cultures, making connections with interesting people and exploring their lives with my photos: I believe this is the most powerful way to encourage communication between different cultures.

I love scuba diving, mountain biking, snowboarding, reading literature, listening classical music and playing guitar.
